An exemplary teamwork took place, when LIFE Helnæs and LIFE Bøjden met on Helnæs in the beginning of July 2013.

Hay was cut and brought out on the new fields that has been added to grassland Bobakkerne, Helnæs.
Some of the hay was driven to Bøjden Nor where it was spread out on the new area.
The project hopes that seeds from the old grassland in Bobakkerne will sprout and help transforming traditionally grown fields into grassland with a large number of species.
The event was arranged and carried out by Annette Strøm Jacobsen and Annita Svendsen, Naturstyrelsen Fyn. Thank you so much!

Annita Svendsen wellcomes the participants from Naturstyrelsen, Faaborg-Midtfyn Kommune and Fugleværnsfonden.

Denmarks scythe-expert, Niels Ã…mand Johansen from Bakkebjerg Naturpleje was invited to demonstrate the use and maintaining of scythes.

Kasper Nowack and Claus Paludan from Faaborg-Midtfyn Kommune sharpens the scythes.

The hilly area of Bobakkerne is one of the most spectacular landscapes in Funen.

Sun and wind over Helnæs - perfect weather for cutting grass.

Practise makes master - on the second day the workflow is really good.

Bobakkerne has a great variety in plants. Here its flowering Thymus pulegioides.

Time for moving some of the hay to Bøjden Nor.

The tractor and dumper from Millinge Maskinstation just about to enter Bøjden Nor.

The hay is brougt out on a minor area. The cows will help to spread the seeds.

Here we go! An innovative idea that was brought up in the beginning of the project has finally been executed.
